Contract of hire
The hiring contract is between Vale Swim (the operator) and the lead person making the booking. This contract is deemed to be made subject to these Conditions of Hire.
Unauthorised use of the facilities is strictly prohibited. Each booking is accepted on the understanding that all visitors acknowledge and agree to abide by these rules and conditions.
Safety
No lifeguard is provided. CCTV is installed but not actively monitored.
All users swim at their own risk.
A competent adult swimmer must be present at all times when children are in the pool. This adult must be able to assist in an emergency.
Adults must carry a mobile phone to contact emergency services if required, as the owners may not always be available.
Users have a duty of care for their guests. A copy of the Pool Operating Instructions, including safety guidance, is available on the notice board.
Maximum occupancy: 10 swimmers and 4 non-swimming spectators. No diving is permitted (maximum pool depth is 1.2m).
Do not swim if suffering from a contagious illness. All accidents and incidents must be reported to the owners for logging in the accident book.
Access to the plant room and storage areas is strictly prohibited.
Health & Hygiene
No food or alcohol is permitted on the premises. Strictly no smoking in or around the facility.
Children under the age of 4, or any child at risk of a toilet accident, must wear both a disposable swim nappy and a neoprene over-nappy. Used nappies must be taken home by the supervising adult.
Shower before entering the pool. No outdoor footwear is allowed in the changing rooms or poolside.
Please leave the premises as you found them. Your booked session includes changing time. Overstaying may result in additional charges.
Consideration must be shown to our neighbours. Noise should be kept to a minimum. Please park only in the allocated spaces in front of the house.
Loss, Injury, and Liability
Vale Swim accepts no liability for injury, illness, accident, or loss/damage to property, howsoever caused, directly or indirectly, within or outside the pool area.
Booking, Refunds, and Membership
Only individuals aged 18 or over may book the pool.
A valid membership subscription is required to make bookings. Subscriptions are non-refundable but may be cancelled at any time.
Members may continue booking sessions until the renewal date.
Booked sessions may be refunded if cancelled at least 7 days in advance. Bookings may be rescheduled up to 72 hours prior to the session start time.
Cancellations made within 72 hours will not be refunded or moved.

Vale Swim reserves the right to cancel any session or membership without notice.
Lone Swimmers
Lone swimming is strongly discouraged. Exceptions are made only where the individual fully accepts the risks of swimming unsupervised, including the absence of lifeguards, monitored CCTV, or immediate assistance in an emergency.
Damage and Subletting
The hirer is responsible for the cost of any damage to the facility, equipment, property or loss of earning caused by them or their guests.
Strictly no sub-letting of bookings or rent to teach is permitted. Bookings are non-transferable.
Miscellaneous
By booking and using the facility, you agree to these Conditions of Hire and acknowledge your responsibility for ensuring all members of your party comply.
